Handwoven Winter Scarf, Tweed, in Fuchsia and Sandy Beige
Handwoven Winter Scarf, Tweed, in Fuchsia and Sandy Beige
8.25” W x 68” L with 6” knotted fringes
The scarf weighs 7.5 oz.
This thick, soft scarf was handwoven using 100% handspun, undyed sandy beige Polwarth wool for the warp. The weft is alternating picks of handspun mega bulky handspun Polwarth wool and a commercial 85% wool/15% alpaca yarn in Fuchsia.
The resulting fabric is a warm-toned, 2-color tweed. Both yarns are soft, and the thicker handspun Polwarth wool creates a plush fabric.
All my handwoven scarves are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition. When I repeat a particular weaving draft, I tend to use different colors and/or yarns, so that all my scarves are unique!
Perfect for a man or woman who prefers natural fiber accessories!
Each scarf bears my (washable) cork label.
