Creative Passions
I have been creative my entire life. I am self-taught in hand quilting, sewing, hand spinning, natural dyeing, hand weaving, rug hooking, crochet, and finally, hand knitting pattern design!
I love to bake and cook, and by extension, I love to garden organically with heirlooms – vegetables and flowers.
You will find many of my hand-knitting and crochet patterns here as well as on Etsy, Ravelry, and Lovecrafts.

Before spending over 30 years designing hand-knitting patterns, I was a hand spinner and weaver.
Rag rugs, a rag stair runner, hand-spun and naturally-dyed linen placements, hand-spun and naturally-dyed cotton bathmats, cotton kitchen towels, and weft-faced rugs (using my hand-spun linen warp and hand-spun and naturally-dyed Lincoln and Romney wool weft) came off my looms then.
Many of these hand-wovens are still in regular to semi-regular use today! I love all the fiber arts, but have a special affinity towards knitting, spinning, and weaving. I weave on a 4 harness, 45” wide rug loom.
This type of loom is strong, for weaving rugs, but can also handle all other types of fabrics. I also weave on a rigid heddle loom, and hope to also release weaving patterns this year.
The entire weaving process is done by my hand, just as I hand knit and finish all my design samples. I want my designs to be able to grace your wardrobe and home as long as they have graced mine!

I was always passionate about creating a beautiful life, filled with creativity and love, but, even more so, after having had cancer. Life is simply too short, for anything less! If you'd like to see what I do in my studio, garden, and kitchen, do check out my blog! In my blog sidebar is an opt-in form to subscribe to my email updates - I hope you'll consider subscribing!
Peace and Love to All!
