Handwoven Winter Scarf, “Peepers up a Tree” – a Log Cabin Variant
Handwoven Winter Scarf, “Peepers up a Tree”
a Log Cabin Variant – in handspun white Falkland wool and sky blue soft domestic wool yarns
8” W x 64” L with 5.5” knotted fringes
The scarf weighs 7.9 oz.
This scarf is the first in the “Peepers” series – my twist on the Log Cabin draft – named after the spring peppers we had so many of in the acre-sized pond back in the mid-Hudson. I would even find them in the evergreen, off the porch. Can you find the pairs of peepers’ eyes?!
This soft scarf was handwoven using 100% domestic soft wool yarns.
All my handwoven scarves are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition. When I repeat a particular weaving draft, I tend to use different colors and/or yarns, so that all my scarves are unique!
Perfect for a man or woman who prefers natural fiber accessories!
Each scarf bears my (washable) cork label.
