Handwoven Winter Scarf, Wide Tweed Stripes in Blue, Sand, and White
Handwoven Winter Scarf, Wide Tweed Stripes
in Blue, Sand, and White
8.5” W x 72” L with 5” knotted fringes
The scarf weighs 8.33 oz.
This thick, soft scarf was handwoven using 2 colors of US-produced soft wool yarn and handspun Falkland wool yarn for the warp.
The weft uses alternating picks of the commercial wool with a strand each of handspun Falkland wool and 100% baby alpaca yarn. The baby alpaca yarn is super soft and also lends a bit of shine.
The pattern has wide stripes of tweed which change as the warp changes.
All my handwoven scarves are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition. When I repeat a particular weaving draft, I tend to use different colors and/or yarns, so that all my scarves are unique!
Perfect for a man or a woman who prefers natural fiber accessories!
Each scarf bears my (washable) cork label.
