Handwoven "Rose Garden" Rag Rug Runner

I’ve elevated what would be an ordinary hit-and-miss rag rug, with surface stitching, in colors that complement the rug!

Size: 30.5" x 82"

Warp: 100% cotton

Weft: 100% vintage cotton flannel sheets in a rose and leaf pattern

Embellishment: 100% cotton yarn, in coordinating pinks and greens

Cotton flannel rugs are soft underfoot – they are ideal as bedside rugs! Would also be lovely in a home office or the living room.

The fabric strips were folded in each weft shot. This gives a crisper appearance to the surface texture of the rugs.

Fringe is enhanced for thickness and appearance, overhand knotted, hand twisted, then end knotted.

SAFETY NOTE:

Always use a non-slip under rug mat, when using the rug on bare (un-carpeted) flooring.

When the rug needs cleaning, hand wash the under-rug mat as well, as they can tend to lose their *grippiness* when dirty.
