Diamonds & Cables Knee Socks, PDF pattern
About the Design
After I designed and knit the Zipped Up Aran Tunic, I immediately wanted accessories, either to be worn with the tunic or with other garments, as I so enjoyed knitting the aran patterns.
I used the sleeve pattern on the knee socks, but, as there was no room to shape the leg without disturbing the pattern, so it is shaped with decreasing needle sizes!
Knit in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride worsted with a little Handpaint Originals in the solid cream color to reinforce the v-heel. The toe is my version of a star/rounded toe, as it has 6 decrease points instead of the usual 4 for the star toe and 8 for the rounded toe.
This pattern is in charted (color!) and text forms.
